Should I buy enclosure gear or a live reptile instead?
Leave both to them. Lamps, UVB, thermostats and enclosures depend on the species, the animal's size and the setup they already run, so most keepers pick their own.
A live reptile should never be a surprise gift. It's a long-term care decision the keeper needs to make, with the enclosure ready before the animal arrives.
How much should I spend on a reptile gift?
